About Me:

My Professional Massage Training:

Below you will find some general information about my massage training.  As a professional, I have made this my lifes work.  Learning is important to me and I have worked hard to hone my skills.  I look forward to sharing them with you.

  • I graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in December of 1990.
  • After graduating, I was asked to be a TA and help teach massage at the Utah College of Massage Therapy for several years.  I also helped manage the school's weekend massage clinic.  This experience helped solidify my skills through the repetition of showing others how to do massage.
  • I then had the great pleasure of working with two different chiropractors which furthered my education in injury massage techniques.
  • I have worked for myself full-time as a massage therapist for over 26 years.
  • I have studied the following Massage Modalities: Swedish, Deep-tissue, St. John's Neuro-Muscular Therapy, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Shiatsu, and seated chair massage.
  • Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working on many different body types from Olympic athletes, Ballet West dancers, housewives, executives, plumbers, week-end warriors, injury patients and even plain ol' couch potatoes.  I have liked them all and in general love helping people reconnect with their body.

While I enjoy practicing all of these massage techniques, it is common for me to integrate some of each of them during a massage.  At the beginning of each massage, I will usually ask my clients about any areas of stress or discomfort they are experiencing.  If you don't tell me, I'll just find them anyway!

Mostly, I just refer to my style of massage as "Meat and potatoes massage."  You know, the "good stuff."  None of that fluff and buff that you typically get in a spa setting.

My Professional Colon Hyrotherapy Training:

One of the most common questions I get asked is, "How did you get into colon hydrotherapy?"  I agree this is not a profession that many people would aspire to do.  However, that said, I don't believe that I just fell into it either.  After dealing with many sick clients in my massage practice for years, I felt the need to offer them something more than just massage for relief of their symptoms.

Given that we are exposed to toxins from the environment, water, and our food sources everyday, it only stands to reason that this would effect the general health of our bodies.  Colon-hydrotherapy is a gentle method by which these toxins can be removed from the body via the colon.  After receiving several sessions myself, I was amazed by how much better I felt and started referring clients out for colon-hydrotherapy.

After a number of years of seeing the direct benefits of colon-hydrotherapy, I decided I wanted to provide colonic services in addition to massage.

  • I received my initial training in colon-hydrotherapy from the I-ACT (International Association of Colon Therapy) certified school  'Internal Environment Institute' located in Los Angeles.  I graduated in 1999.
  • I then attended training for the equipment I use (Hydrosan Plus) made by Specialty Health Products located in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • The International School of Colon-Hydrotherapy located in Juno Beach, Florida is where I received my advanced training in colon-hydrotherapy.
  • I am an active member of I-ACT and have received advanced-level status.
  • The equipment I use (Hydrosan Plus) is a professional-grade colonic system.  I use only disposable tubing and speculum kits for proper sanitation and safety.
  • I have been practicing colon-hydrotherapy full-time for over 18 years now.

Quality, Quality, Quality Is My Moto!

I use only the best quality massage creme, essential oils, and crisp clean linens from a quality linen service.  My massage table is the best that money can buy.  It will position you exactly where I need you so I can get the best leverage to work those knots out of your back without putting knots into mine.  It is my goal to create the most peaceful and serene experience for each of my clients.  All-in-all, you will leave wondering where have I been all your life.  In fact, I jokingly have stopped counting the number of marriage proposals I've received over the years.
